Ultimate New York By Night

Jackpot

After much soul-searching (no, seriously, we can’t find ours) the Coterie has decided to sell the killbot’s circuit board to Eddie‘s contact in Russia. The influx of semi-treasonous lucre will finance our nautical ambitions, and Victor is already looking for a suitably ridiculous captain’s costume. Christophe, meanwhile, is planning to become a helicopter pilot, which sure beats the traditional method of vampire flight.

It has also been a time of slight celebration for us, since almost all of us have been promoted to the lofty rank of Primogen. Sure, we only got the titles because everyone more qualified than us was ruthlessly hunted down by the Sabbat or fled town with their tails between their legs. And we’ll be put back in our place as soon as we complete our objectives and the elders come home. But hey, unlife sucks, am I right?

With this pleasant thought, we continued our search for Jimmy, but could not get through to Marcus, who might well be dead, or just in hiding. Instead, we paid a visit to Jimmy’s old house, finding that it had been thoroughly looted and stripped of any items of value. Except the basement, which was clearly untouched. Kurt managed to pop that particular cherry, though he bent his crowbar out of shape in the process. We’ll need to carry a stock of those things in our van from now on, or at least buy some sturdier ones.

Ten-Pound’s place was much as we remembered it, and I saw a strange smile on Victor’s face when he looked at the torture rack. I still think that guy is plotting to betray us. Well, whatever. The werewolf teeth and other “sensitive” materials had been removed, but the guns and knives were still there. And thanks to our resident RADAR, Orion, we found an old friend. Ten-Pound kept the rocket launcher.

Keeping Up With The Prescotts
The Coterie Comes To Grips With The Sabbat Takeover

The Coterie wakes up and decides to meet at the Foustian Syndicate. Eddie receives a call from the Lupines. They are ready to meet tonight. Victor calls and requests to re-join the team.

The Sabbat have corrupted Eddie’s predecessor, Devin Blanke. “Going through a phase where he has forgotten what it means to be a Tremere.” The Syndicate wants the Coterie to hunt him down, and ash him as viciously as possible. He was last seen In Brighton Beach, at a little Russian bar with no name, just a martini-glass logo. Also, the Archons have sent the first name we are supposed to recruit, and the Syndicate are attempting to locate the target. Finally, Kurt Panzermayer shall be free from retribution, as he may still be useful. We are to find him and tell him that the Syndicate will solve his legal problems if he serves as a bodyguard for the rest of the coterie. Should any member die, the deal is off.

Only one person may directly meet with Gran’ma, and Christophe is chosen to be our emissary for his friendly and non-threatening demeanor.

Meanwhile, Eddie and Victor drive out to New Jersey to find Kurt. It isn’t hard to locate a low-class titty bar surrounded by frat boys in various states of inebriation, nor is it difficult to convince him to come back.

[REDACTED]

After that meeting, the coterie drives to Brighton Beach to find Devin. Kurt, Diego, and Victor enter in the guise of drunken party-goers and their designated driver. They determine that at least one of the people present is a ghoul. The rest enter a little later, and Eddie is mistaken for one of Devin’s new friends. They find out that Devin is at Fort Hamilton. Unfortunately, right as the team is preparing to leave, the ghoul becomes suspicious and attacks. A gunfight erupts, resulting in the deaths of the betting parlor’s staff. Only one is saved from the carnage, a young man named Jackie. The nephew of a mobster, he runs the electronics for the wire room, but is otherwise an innocent bystander.

One of the ghouls, before… expiring… is Dominated into telling us Devin’s role. The Sabbat has noticed the efficacy of Camarilla coteries, and is using their pet Tremere to introduce that same level of organization and tactics into the Sabbat packs. Fort Hamilton (an abandoned Navy base) is most likely a training facility.

Victor convinces Jackie that it would be in his best interests to come stay with him, and promises that the coterie can set the boy up with admission to a university (thanks to Diego), possibly an internship at an I.T. company, and an escape from the life of a mobster. Suitable use of Presence and ghouling, as well as a glimpse of the alternative (the other staff being carried out in a blood-soaked tarp) encourage his acceptance. Still, much effort will be needed to instill loyalty and trust into the boy.

All seems well in the aftermath (we at least cleaned up the evidence and witnesses this time), and the coterie split up. Some will visit the Syndicate to report on their progress, while the rest return to their havens for the night. However, a chance call to Eleven makes Christophe concerned. The coterie quickly reassembles at Corinth’s shop, and bust in to find… a fledgling vampire in a rented prom tuxedo. Eleven has given in to her loneliness once again, and embraced a high-school athlete named Bryan. Christophe is furious with Eleven for her stupidity, but is reluctant to apply the prescribed punishment of death to her. Eddie is all set to at least execute the childe for the sire’s gross breach of the Traditions, but Victor insists that the young vampire might still be useful to them.

After much arguing about the enforcement of the Traditions in a city abandoned by the Camarilla, and considerations of just who has power, Eddie relents out of sheer frustration with his soft-hearted companions. The fledgling will be taken before the Syndicate, and they will decide his fate. Victor spends the car trip attempting to prep the jock for the most important meeting of his life, and increasingly feels that he should have kept his mouth shut. The Syndicate make some snide comments: “Do we really need another Rose?” but allow the childe and his sire to live.

Victor is given responsibility for Brian’s tutelage and Jackie’s care, which prompts discussion in the coterie. Considering the circumstances of Corinth’s murder and the Assamite break-in, perhaps the shop is no longer a wise choice for a safe house. A secret underground lair is not out of the question, but a converted store is cheaper and more simple.

Cleaning Up Everyone's Mess
The Coterie Uncovers A New Haven

[Brooklyn Zoo]
The party had just finished wasting a few hippies cum violent ELF members who decided it was in their best interest to steal a bag full of military grade explosives from shadowy characters they had followed to the Brooklyn Zoo. Three of these fine young men had already been killed through various means and three more lay writhing in pain hog tied, all lying in wait to become a hungry den of alligators midnight snack. Its not easy to shake loose the lunch of the undead but seeing 6 humans fed to a den of ravenous alligators comes close. That mess was taken care of but there was still much to do at the scene of NYC’s as yet to be latest missing persons report. The group had been on park CCTV the entire time, the concrete was still had massive puddles of slowly coagulating blood, and a group of tigers was, for the first time in history perhaps, one inner-city poaching closer to extinction. The group decided that Eddie‘s help would be required to deal with the server room whose connected cameras were still silently recording. Corey decided that the best way to deal with the blood stains would be to spray everything down with cleaner, like he saw in the movies time and time again, however,O’Ryan suggested that she knew a couple of hungry wild animals that would make short work of the stains. By the time the park hyenas had finished lapping their tasty treat off the ground the Eddie had done enough hacking to keep the zoos experts busy for weeks. The only issue still on the groups mind was the dead tiger. O’Ryan was comforted by the fallen tigers mate only to be warned that the zoo must be respected and next time the animals would not be so eager to help O’Ryan and her friends.

[Kurt Teaches the Group How to Chop Cars]
The group wiped their hands clean, locked down the zoo and patted themselves on the back for a job well done. As the group grabbed their black duffel bag full of clues and guns they headed to their car only to realize that there was still another car in the parking lot that shouldn’t be there. To finish cleaning up their mess at the zoo the group quickly realized that they would also have to get rid of a car. A chance run in Corey had with a Brujah a long time ago was the groups only lead. Corey contacted Kurt and let him know that they would be bringing a Bronco direct for disposal. Kurt was a beast of among beasts but was quickly able to have the car stripped down to bare scrap within a few calls and the group quickly welcomed him. Its unsure who is helping who, Kurt certainly has the muscle firepower of a small army with contacts and allies who will aid the group well but Kurt also is a kindred on the run from the law for past indiscretions. Either way, saddled down with extra burden an entirely new dimension was added to the group with their inclusion of Kurt. As the party broke for rest and feeding Corey received a call from his employer and sire, George, Sr. informed Corey that his services as his social surrogate would no longer be needed and ended the call with an abrupt click.

[Corey Wakes up a New Man]
Evening night broke the suns spell and text messages from the night before were finally viewed they read, “Meet up at Pony Express”. Corey moved through his evening rituals as before but suddenly a new sense overwhelmed. First a headache that brought his mind to a screeching halt, flashes of light, and suddenly as is two decks of cards, each containing another persons thoughts his own and a past life not quite his were shuffled together in his mind with a crack Corey was someone different entirely. All of his senses seemed to suddenly gather more information, O’ Ryan’s keen sense of smell suddenly picked up something different, and most important most pressing of all was Corey’s new agenda. Corey suddenly felt as if a shop in Queens he had been to a hundred times a day for many years but couldn’t remember was calling him. It was an overpowering sensation and something that could only be sated through further investigation. As he and O’Ryan rode to the location in his mind Corey texted the other members about their change of plans. When the group finally arrived Corey was outside the shop staring in transfixed on its front windows which had long been frosted over with grime and dust. It was an unholy place of bad feelings and worse vibes.

[Little Shop of Horrors]
The group walked in and meandered through its clothed easels and small pedestals which had all abandoned their baubles to someone unknown to the group. The only clue was the silent thunder and unlit lightening stemming from ominous thunderheads billowing throughout the store. The largest plume seemed to be coming from the back of the shop particularly from an ancient barbarian perched on a bookcase. This was Xurdu, Slayer of Gods, a monster of a mortal who wore a rams skull as a war helmet and claimed to be looking for his trinkets. Eddie noticed a trapdoor that lead to the store house for the shop bellow its wooden floors, he and Corey stepped into the darkness to see what they could find of Xurdu’s baubles. At the bottom of the doors steps was a shotgun down to a small office where a light could be seen. As the groups eyes adjusted to darkness they saw an amazingly beautiful young woman splayed against the wall with a stake running through he body pinning here there against the wall in front a horrific kindred, a Nosferatu named Trapheim. This vampire was particularly hideous his face burned and twisted through evil, his skin was black and thick like tar with only bones breaking their way through his skin breaking the outline of his body. He was the most innocent child’s worst nightmare made a reality. The group quickly jumped into high adrenaline mood and had the meat of the group grab his most powerful firearm his pump action shotgun, O’Ryan popped her claws, Tori pulled squatted just below the lights edge and readied his legendary whip imbued with the anger of 200 years of slavery, all while Eddie hide a manifested wooden stake in his coat. Corey played the role of diplomat and informed the ghoul in his basement that the shop belonged to him and the Nos would need to find a new haven to haunt. The devil snorted are Corey’s demand and told him that if Corey and his group wanted to make claim to the shop they would would have to take it by force. In an act of sincere demand Corey moved to place his hands on the nearest artifact showing the beast that they meant every word the said. Just as Corey’s finger tips touched the closet closest gem the aberration lunged at Corey claws digging deep into his shoulders knocking Corey to the ground prone on his back. Eddie watched on to stunned to move as the ghoul snarled shooting blood and puss into Corey’s face. Blood and adrenaline poured into Corey’s muscle and in almost vestigial response more than self defense shoved the beast off of his self and slammed him onto his back. Eddie’s wits raced back to him and in a shift single shift maneuver slammed his stake into the center of the vampire’s chest tearing through tar and ivory. The tip of the blade came within inches of the kindred’s heart but fell just short of its intended mark. The rest of the group outside heard the commotion and rushed in to aid Corey and Eddie. Patrick threw his whip into the room directly at the monsters face, the thongs on the whip screamed through the air and dug into the vampire’s face sinking in deep and taking hold before pulling back taking the flesh and sinew with them. Corey seized the opportunity and pounded the stake deeper into the chest of the beast. Ultimately it would be the stake’s creator who forced the weapon deep enough into the monster dropping him to the floor. O’Ryan and Kurt arrived just seconds after the action ended only seconds after it began.

The woman, still pinned to the wall, began to moan and the group moved to help her down. Kurt and Corey trained their sights on the woman as Eddie brought the stake out of her. As she hit the floor she looked up with enchantment bringing Eddie and Tori deep into her gaze then in surprise moment that caught the entire group off guard she closed the distance between her and Tori in a starved frenzy as she bit down on Tori’s neck draining the blood from his undead veins. Corey in one swift movement ripped the blood soaked buttons off of Eddie’s pea coat and tore the woman from Torie throat brings bits of skin and tissue with her. Corey forced the blood into the woman’s mother and soon her frenzy vanished and she became calm. She told the group her name, Eleven, and the story of how her and the Nos were once lovers but he became deranged after the embrace, she told them that Trapheim had stolen her away to this basement and shes been here for years. She also informed the group that a blood hunt had be issued against Trap.

The group brushing off the events and looking to set their mind to something up split up the tasks O’Ryan and Kurt began to move the fainted Trap to Kurt’s car while Tori, Eddie, and Corey began to look through the stacks to find Xurdu’s baubles. In the boxes Corey found a small hand gun with a journal that stated this was Hitler’s executioner. This was the gun that the Furher had carried as a sidearm as he ordered legions of boy soldiers to lead mass minorities to their deaths by boxcar and death march. Holding it was a pleasure for Corey as it seemed to fit every contour of his hand perfectly his every palm line matched to a wood grain. Amongst the other items was a chunk of obsidian with Xurdu’s name engraved on it in ancient Sumerian cuneiform. This is the stone that would bring peace to the troubled spirit above.

The group came out from the basement and returned the stone to Xurdu and carried the body out to Kurt’s Mustang. Corey locked the front doors and everyone piled into the car to drop the body off at Kurt’s strip club.

[On the lamb]
On the way to the gangstas paradise the group encountered even more trouble. In the rear view mirror Kurt spotted a black and white patrol car with its siren going and its lights flashing. Kurt’s car was marked and carrying a dead body as well as enough illegal firearms to put Kurt in the federal system for the rest of his un-life. After some questions and some general rattling the beat cop went back to his car to call in the plates and tags. The group could just barely see the officers head lift up through the cruisers window as another marshal strolled up the black and white. Tori had disguised himself as one of the force and was now in control of the situation. The two talked to each other through the window for a bit and then Tori looked through Kurt’s car and wrote him a warning for some offense or other before the officer motioned Tori to come back to the cruiser. The officer informed Tori that the Feds were circling in closer on Kurt and they didn’t want a couple of NYC’s finest interfering with the case. Tori and the cop both dismissed it as typical politics and the group as a whole decided to leave quickly before the subterfuge wore off.

Back at the Pony Express Eddie and Kurt ran into more problems. The body of the nos had just been left the back of Kurt’s mustang. Kurt flung open the door to his private office only to be greeted by Agent Smith the agent heading up the investigation into Kurt’s sordid business dealings. Agent Smith was intense about as intense as a good FBI agent can be before they are forced to cross the line. Agent Smith was unbridled and gruff and would have walked Kurt out in a pair of shiny new bracelets courtesy Uncle Sam for so much as not having his bar licenses up to date, he wanted to, he was just asking Kurt to give him a reason. Kurt and Eddie were able to handle themselves and Eddie was able to without much explanation convince Smith that there was nothing of value in the bar and he should just be moving along. For reasons the group will never fully understand that’s exactly what Agent Smith did, but not before make two vampires sweat. Eddie and Kurt unloaded the body of Trap onto a backroom sofa and made the proper allowance to peering eyes, no one saw anything.

Corey, Tori, Eleven and O’Ryan were in one of the more affluent suburbs of Manhattan looking for Corey’s sire but made no progress not even once Eddie and Kurt showed up. It seems like he lived here but Corey couldn’t remember exactly where and Google maps had a camera glitch over this neighborhood the trail went cold on Senior.

[The Undead Walk….Again]
The group piled into their cars and headed back to the pony express to grab Trap’s body and the evidence bag, both items that would win them favor with the prince. The bag was were it was supposed to be but the body was gone with only blood stains, torn couch cushions, and bits/pieces of Kurt’s men in its place. The group quickly assumed that the men had decided to un-stake the vampire. Just as quickly the issue was discarded in order to get word the Prince on their discovered evidence as quickly as possible they all assumed they could deal with this mess later. The group was riding over the Bridge(?) with the mustang in the front and the Cherokee tailing when suddenly the trunk cover blew off and a black shadow jumped 50 feet straight into the air landing on the hood of the mustang. The engine ground into the asphalt and the tires folded under the sports car as the blur came into focus. It was Trap. Kurt smiled as he reached into side holsters and brought the full power of his twin .45 Glocks to bear on the kindred’s grotesque face. The bullets blew through the windshield drawing glass shards to their own entry holes as they impacted the ghouls face and exited through the other side. The raw force sent the beast reeling backwards as he clawed at his own wounds. Eddie slammed the door shut and stomped towards the beast, materializing another two stakes to end this Kindred’s life. Corey decided attempted a few pot shots with his Mauser and accidentally the vampire.

Welcome to New York City
First Session Notes

Game time: 6:30pm

-At the Apollo Theater in Harlem, the main Elysium in NYC, Corinth Rutledge, a wealthy playboy Ventrue known around town as the emissary of his powerful sire George, Sr., met and made fast friends with Eddie Dixby, a Tremere hacker and recent graduate of the Foustian Syndicate. While the Ventrue and Tremere clan are the pillars of power within the Camarilla sect, it is odd that Corinth and Eddie, two very different people from two very different walks of life, were able to become friends so quickly and with so little information about each other.

-In an alley outside the Apollo theater, Eddie and Corinth encounter a confused Kindred named Professor Diego Tori. Tori explains that he’s not sure why he’s there, and shows them a cellphone he claims to have found. The phone only contains one event marked on the calendar (today), along with the address of the Apollo theater. While he is explaining this to Eddie and Corey, the phone rings, and when Tori answers it, it triggers the explosion of 4 limousines in front of the Apollo. Sheriff Oswald, the Elder of the Bronx (a Brujah named Lawrence Parker) and the Elder of Manhattan (a Ventrue named Rios Espanada) were all killed in the attack, along with an as-yet-unknown number of other Vampires, Ghouls, and humans.

-Corinth, along with Eddie’s masters at the Syndicate, immediately conclude that if any New York Kindred was involved with bombings, it would be Deacon, an infamous Gangrel environmental extremist. Although Tori needs to be Accounted by the Prince, after a little cajoling by George Sr and the Syndicate elders, the characters agree to seek out Deacon. Deacon, who makes his home near the Brooklyn Zoo, is highly distrusted by the elders of New York, but still relatively tolerated in the city, thanks to his effective roles in the 1990’s Camarilla-Sabbat war.

-Eddie, Corinth and Tori get in a black sedan and have the driver (this expensive service is taken care of by Corey’s sire) take them to Deacon’s haven. There they find a hive of Anarchists, Punks, and all manner of environmental and anti-globalization extremists. Eddie uses the Discipline of Dominate on one of the Anarchists, and orders him to take the Coterie to see Deacon. In an underground lair beneath the building’s basement, the coterie finds Deacon and his top advisers discussing the bombing of the Apollo. After a brief discussion establishing that Deacon was not responsible for the attack, Deacon suggests that his protege, Orion, join the Coterie, in order to help them find out who really was behind the attack. Orion is also a Gangrel, and weirdly resembles the college student Leon O’Ryan who was brutally murdered in the parking lot of the Brooklyn Zoo 5 years, in what was widely seen as a political murder in order to convince the Zoo owners to sell it to Pentex, a massive worldwide conglomerate with its hands in all major businesses and commodities.

Game time: 8:00pm

-The coterie (Eddie, Corey, Tori, and Orion) decide they need to get Tori Accounted for, and through George Sr, Corey’s Sire, they arrange to meet with Prince Goldman at the Park Slope Armory, where he has convened his war council due to the attack on the Apollo. The coterie heads to the Armory, again courtesy of Corey’s Sire and his generous car service. After moving easily through the Mayor’s police security, the coterie stops in the foyer. Corey explains to Eddie that he has had a nagging suspicion about Tori’s cellphone. He remembers Tori getting a call, answering it, and then BOOM! Eddie, skilled with most any electronic device imaginable, diagnoses that the phone is, in fact, not a phone, but an elaborate detonator. This would seem to confirm their theory that the cellphone triggered the attack. After an uncomfortable exchange, the nervous and confused Tori confesses that he took the phone from a guy who “attacked him” at this apartment.

-Inside the Armory, the characters find Prince Goldman, the Elders of Brooklyn (a Toreador named Trula Marley) and Staten Island (a Brujah named Tony Bordski) along with virtually every Camarilla foot soldier, head breaker, and wet worker in the tri-state area. As the coterie moves through the crowd toward the Prince, they overhear a number of theories of who was behind the bombing, ranging from the reasonable (Deacon, Al-Qa’eda, Sabbat, etc) to the outlandish (aliens, Werewolves, the Spanish Inquisition, etc). After a tense exchange, Tori is established to be an Assamite, one who’s sire, a quite powerful one, has “supposedly” abandoned him. The coterie then explains that Tori was carrying the detonator to the bombs that blew up the Apollo. While normally it would be unimaginably outrageous to bring a strange Assamite who happens to be carrying evidence in a terrorist attack and a known cohort of the terrorist Deacon into the Prince’s lair, and on top of that ask for his blessing on the Assamite’s entrance into the Camarilla, but what can I say? These are strange times. The Prince, having bigger things to worry about than micro-managing, explains the Traditions to Tori, and orders the coterie to mentor Tori in the ways of Camarilla Kindred. In return, however, the coterie must assist in the investigation of the Apollo attacks…and stay out of trouble.

-Eddie decides that he can better help the investigation by “surfing the feeds,” scouring the internet for any information available. After returning to the Foustian Syndicate headquarters overlooking Washington Square Park, Eddie discovers that a group called Jundallah, what the US Government calls an “Al-Qa’eda affiliate,” has taken credit for the attack on the Apollo, forcing the Department of Homeland Security to close all US airports (and ruining Eddie’s flight to Beijing! Crap!). However, using his contacts in the hacking and cyber-warfare underworld, Eddie learns that Jundallah is actually a pro-democracy group funded by the CIA, and thus the reports of their involvement in attack on their paymasters are false. This is good news. It is not an Al-Qa’eda attack, which means that the airports will be open again soon. However, given the detonator and the location of the attack, the evidence points to it being a Kindred political act, and that can mean NO GOOD whatsoever for the Masquerade. Vampires have enough trouble hiding the simple act of feeding, much less an international terrorist incident.

Game time: 9:00pm

-Having no better leads, the rest of the coterie (Corey, Tori, and Orion) decides to figure out who attacked Tori in his apartment, since that’s who had the phone and presumably would be the one behind the attacks on the Apollo. They head to Tori’s apartment in Queens where they find the Professor’s Teaching Assistant cleaning up the apartment. After kicking her out, the coterie proceeds to search the apartment from top to bottom. In the bedroom closet, hidden away beneath piles of junk, Orion locates a black duffel bag filled with all manner of extremely sophisticated weaponry, including assault rifles, detonators, night vision goggles, and what appears to be a shotgun that shoots wooden stakes and shiny metal rods. They also discover what appears to be a shrink-wrapped kilo of cocaine or heroin, although Orion insists it isn’t a drug he’s ever smelled before. Tori, as confused as ever, tells them he has no idea how the bag got there.

-In the Kitchen, Orion befriends and talks with a pair of mice who live under the sink. They tell him that they remember another person in the apartment, a monkey with black flesh, who smelled of beans, outside air, and always made the room completely silent. Orion informs the rest of the coterie, still digging through the bedroom, and Tori explains that he has the same ability as the other person, that of making the room completely silent. Corey, jumping to conclusions, demands answers from the befuddled Assamite. He had the detonator, he has the bag of weapons, and the mice seem to think he’s been using his disciplines, so what gives? The Professor finally breaks down and confesses to what happened to him that awful night last week…

“The pain woke me up. I sat straight up in my bed, grabbing my neck like this. I was bleeding. Everywhere. I’m pretty sure my throat had been cut. I looked up, and he was right there on the edge of the bed. Not doing anything, just looking at me. Watching me bleed to death, the prick. I was angry! And…thirsty? Or hungry? Something…. So, then he just starts jabbering, jumps right into this speech, like he had it planned all out how he was going to fucking murder me in my own bed. He’s all “we’re Vampires, we can’t go in the sun, blah blah blah.” I didn’t know what the hell he was talking about. Vampires? What the hell? So I went for him. I tackled him to the ground right there and I guess…I mean…I drank all his blood. All of it. As soon as I was done, he just vaporized. Poof! Turned to ashes, which I inhaled a mouthful of. That’s what made me puke up all that blood on the floor there. And…that was last week, man. For the last 7 days I’ve been holed up in my office in the city trying to figure this all out. And that’s after, by the way, I nearly killed myself by walking outside at 7 in the morning since no one bothered to mention to me that I was a Vampire too. Anyway, he dropped the cellphone, and it had the address of the Apollo, and I only went because I wanted some answers. Really, that’s all I know about it. I wasn’t trying to lie to you guys I just didn’t know…are you going to kill me? I still don’t even know what I’ve done."

-Satisfied with the story, Corey sends George, Sr. a simple text on his BlackBerry reading “assamite 8 his sire.” The coterie searches the apartment one last time, and this time discovers an airline ticket in the Professor’s stack of papers. It’s a ticket dated 8 weeks ago from Mecca, Saudi Arabia to La Guardia Airport. The name on it is Mohammed Abdullah, though that doesn’t ring any bells with anyone. Strangely, when Tori hands the ticket to Corey, the ticket appears to be for Diego Tori. When he hands the ticket to Orion, the ticket appears to be for Corinth Rutledge. The ticket is apparently magical, being for whoever last touched it. However, Tori is immune to effects of magic (2pt Merit – Magic Resistant) and continues to see the item for its original holder, Mohammed Abdullah. The coterie also finds that Tori’s papers have been rummaged through, and they surmise that this “Mohammed Abdullah” has likely been following, and researching, Professor Tori for quite some time, at least a few months. The coterie then decides to take the kilo of “drugs” to a few of Orion’s Allies to see if they can provide some answers. However, when the coterie exits Tori’s apartment, they discover that the car service by George, Sr has abruptly and unexpectedly been terminated.

Game time: 10:45

-The coterie hops in Tori’s jeep and heads to see Cassandra, Orion’s ex-girlfriend and current employee of Developmental Neogenetics Amalgamated (DNA) a genetic engineering company. Upon meeting Cassandra, Tori and Corey notice that Cassandra calls Orion “Leon,” confirming their suspicion that Orion is, in fact, Leon O’Ryan, the college student murdered by Pentex thugs a few years ago. Unfortunately, Cassandra has no information on the kilo, so the coterie heads to Orion’s other friend, Francis Stoutemayer, a loyal college buddy and fellow warrior in the Earth Liberation Front, an environmental terrorist organization. Francis confirms to the group that the kilo is actually Semtex, powerful military explosives. Upon exiting, Corey notices that one of punks at Francis’ party is in the corner, whispering into his cellphone and acting suspicious. Orion, however, recognizes the kid as someone who hangs out there often, and thus advises they don’t make a big deal out of it. Cautiously, the coterie leaves the house in the jeep and immediately start looking for trouble.

-And they surely find it. Not a block from Francis’ house the party discovers they’re being followed by a couple of environmental punks, but not the ones Orion has ever seen at Francis’ place. The coterie decides to lead them to Orion’s haven, the Brooklyn Zoo, and into an ambush. When they reach the zoo, the party fans out and sets their trap. The punks, six of them now lightly armed, walk right into it. Corey, from the office, shouts into the loudspeakers “drop your weapons!” Some of the punks unwisely push forward, weapons out. Within moments, the punks are obliterated. The foolish ones who attempted to fight are left dead or grievously wounded, while the smart ones who tried to run are swiftly captured. Unfortunately, Corey discovers that in the heat of battle, the Assamite had shot and killed an endangered White Tiger, though he decides to keep this to himself for now.

-The coterie gathers up the punks, or what’s left of some of them, and brings them to the Alligator pens.
